A.D.D. & H.

An autodidactic journal of collected moments concerning urbanism, photography and the art of daily life.

Paris-Shanghai, by Chanel 2009-2010

The world of high fashion has never really fascinated me until now. But I am beginning to have an amazing newfound respect for Karl Lagerfeld with his vision for this entire collection, which reaches far beyond clothes. Part of this is due to a personal attachment and sentamentalism for a country and city which is as much a part of me as it is one I have never been to. The “fantasy” short film of Coco visiting Shanghai he created to accompany the collection is awful, but I can appreciate the concept. You can see all of it here.
